Default Getting Customer Session Id in http post

Seems that &mvt:global:customer_session_id; (AKA Customer_Session_ID) is only available when in https...any way to get it with http? Trying to link customers DIRECTLY to their Edit Account information instead of going through the intermediate ACLN screen.

My understanding is that we should always use the regular Session_ID variable for everything, same as in older version of MM. That would be &mvt:global:session_ID; for entities, or g.Session_ID for Miva Script expressions.

Note sure I explained myself well enough. The reason I want to get the Customer_session_id is because without it, you have to send customers through an HTTPS page if they are on an HTTP page. Specifically, I want an "Edit Account" link to actually go to their account. By default, you get sent to an HTTPS page that THEN gives you the link. Personally, this seems kind of silly.

g.Basket:cussess_id will have the value you want.
