Viking FedEx Advanced v5 Update v5.041

Hi Merchants,

A new update for Viking FedEx Advanced is now available. This is primarily a bug fix / feature enhancement that permits the module to work in conjunction with the Miva Merchant 5.5 PR8 Update 4 "Shipping Rules" configuration settings.

] - Fedex Shipping Methods should now be properly mapped with the Miva Merchant Sort Shipping feature.

This is only a required update if you are upgrading to Miva Merchant 5 PR8 Update 4, but it also provides improved support for Google Checkout and Checkout By Amazon. Customers had experienced the shipping method ordering as defined in the FedEx Advanced module (eg, sort by price) was no longer working after running Miva Merchant updates even if they didn't configure any rules. This fix permits our ordering feature to work properly with Miva Merchant's Shipping Rules.

Updates are available via software update subscription by clicking "Check for Updates" in the module administration.

When are you updating this module. It doesn't work for the new Fedex API and doesn't work with LTL at all.

The update to the new API is still in the works, hope to have an announcement this week.

Another empty promise I am sure. Just like you were to fix the coupon module of yours that is broken, but won't answer your support tickets now. Amazing that you charge $60/year for crappy service.

The updated FedEx module is being tested, I saw it in action on Friday.

I am also eagerly looking forward to the update of the FedEx Advanced module with Fedex Web Service, or at least some news

Does this module work at all? I'm setting up a new 5.5 R8 Update 5 store. I've installed the module and made sure the setting matched the setting in my current 4.23 store and I'm getting nothing.

Gary, it works for me. I have Miva 5.5 Production Release 7 Update 10 and the vikingcoders FedEx Advanced for Miva 5 module.

We do have clients using it on PR8. The most common causes for no rates are settings such as not putting in a meter number, using residential rates to business address, product weights missing, etc. At the very bottom of the module configuration there is a "Log Rates" checkbox. If you turn that on you'll see any error messages return from the FedEx API which can help determine the reason you're not getting rates.
