As of June 11, 2007, DesignExtend.com will no longer offer modules created by Luray Williams and labeled through Santa Fe Mall. Recent developments with a representative of the trust indicate that a viable solution of continuing to provide Luray’s modules cannot be met.

Any Santa Fe Mall (Luray Williams) module purchased previously, or through June 11, 2007, via DesignExtend.com will still be accompanied by our standard support methods. Please note that since we have never been provided with the source code of the modules specific issues arising due to bugs or coding issues carry a possibility of not being resolved.

Effective immediately, DesignExtend.com will no longer offer free support for any Santa Fe modules purchased via MIVACentral.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause MIVA Merchant users. Take note that any pre-existing customers may still contact us for support and we will use any means necessary to resolve issues.

Who will be offering support for modules purchased via Santa Fe Mall? That's where I purchased probably 95% of the ones I used.

Leslie:

It's not our intention to leave anyone hi and dry. If there's a question and we can quickly address it, we're more than happy to.

Of course, if anything requires us to log in and perform actual troubleshooting, we would have to charge for it.

Any support we've been giving for the past 5 months for modules purchased outside our site we've been supporting as a courtesy, with no actual reimbursements for our time. As you can imagine it became quite time consuming, taking much time away from our own business.

I'd like to address a few issues, as I have received many inquiries as to the actual reasons we're no longer carrying SF modules, and what becomes of current customer support.

First, DesignExtend.com will continue to lend any support it can for SF modules purchased via DesignExtend.com, and if verifiable, through SantaFeMall.com - we have a prior order listings for record matching. It was never, and is still not, our intentions to go against Luray's standards to lend support.

Second, the reasons behind us not carrying the modules was NOT a financial decision. I can see how my previous post here might allude that, but our number one priority was to carry on Luray's work. Although, Luray expected us to at least recoup something for our time, but that was a moot point in the recent developments.

I just want users to understand that we weren't motivated due to money or fame, quite the opposite.
