I am looking for somebody to help with my e-commerce that has some experience in designing an e-commerce that is for children's fashion. The site was built on a Miva 4 platform that has a lot of customization. I am not a technical person and can manage the basics, but as far as going through a partial redesign, importing spreadsheets for inventory, pop up windows for Special Sales, scroll menus etc. I am useless plus I also manage my business. The best thing is for anybody that is interested to have a look at the site, it is www.katherinescloset.com (http://www.katherinescloset.com) and send me an e-mail if you have an interest. I guess I am looking for a Web Master. The site is currently hosted by West Host. I am in the United Kingdom, but the person who designed the site was in Texas so geography doesn't matter to me, just experience.I am most anxious to find someone as I have all my new spring and summer lines to go up on the site and in July the fall lines start arriving. THANKS and I hope to hear from someone I also thought it might help if I included a list of things that need to be sorted. the #1 item is highlighted in red :

1. New product lines imported with attribute dropdowns, javascript rollover menu, showing different combinations of clothing and close up shots of clothes. At the moment that includes about 3 large lines and a couple smaller ones. This is important as I am sitting on thousands of pounds of inventory with nobody to import it!! This needs to be done ASAP New products are added in the Spring/Summer/ Fall and Winter plus any new lines I might purchase. Currently there are 400 products on the site My new 0800 number needs to be added to the site

2 Changing out models pictures on various pages according to season and time of year

3 Sale pop up Window on Homepage changes about every 3 or 4 times a year depending on what promotion is going on.

4. Designing and creating an image for a “Sale Room” and put discounted inventory in that when it is out of season

5 Currency exchange. We had one, but the old designer said that Miva did not have one anymore that worked anymore, could it be written as a custom code?

6. Language translation, if possible English to French. Could this be a custome code? I understand this isn't available either.

7. Change out seasonal banner above rotating images along with image on Homepage of model.

8. Remove Designers from Designer page that we no longer sell their lines

9 Change the way the categories are arranged on the site. People find the site difficult to navigate too many clicks to find specific items. Add Toddler Girls and Toddler Boys or make categories by ages. Get rid of those templates for and use either dropdowns or something else!

11. We have had problems with the check out, people getting out of stock messages and then are able to buy the item or check out doesn’t work.

12. SEO guy says that there is invalid HTML everywhere and no HTML meta descriptions, Multiple URLs for the same product and the list continues.

13. Overall critique of the site in terms of any technical issues. The person who designed it was unfamiliar with Miva .

14. I am not sure If my SEO guy would implement the changes he suggested or if the person who undertakes this project would.

15. From time to time change banner advertising on a sites where I advertise

16. Add links to other sites if need be for SEO
There is also a lot of Javascript on the site. Hope to hear from someone who is interested in taking on this type of ongoing project.

Thanks!

Hi there Judith!

My name is Jeremy and I live in San Diego, CA. I work nights at my "day job" as a night auditor, so our hours should align swimmingly. Previously, I worked as a Technical Support Rep at Miva Corporation. Eventually, I was promoted to Software Engineer, and then Sales Engineer/Trainer in my time with the company. I would be more than willing to help you because nights can be boring at my hotel. Plus the extra money would be fabulous.

Another thing...you will find that I am unlike most Web Design people. For one, I know Miva Merchant like the back of my hand. I had a lot to do with building version 4, actually. Also, I am actually nice and I care about how you feel during the whole process. I will not try to prevent you from learning more if you want to in order to keep the payments coming.

That being said, my usual rate is $30 USD per Hour, but I am sure we can work something out otherwise. I do have a couple nieces who love/need clothes because they grow out of the stuff even before I can get it to them.

I look forward to hearing back from you. Just let me know.

With Warmest Regards,

Jeremy Russell
