Basket Screen - This is a real question!

I would like to be able for the customer to calculate their shipping costs
and display it on the Basket Page. I have the minibask module from Weiland,
which I know has a shipping component but I could not get it to work.:D

You're first step should be to contact the developer directly using their support channels.

If you purchased the module through MivaCentral, there are links to contact the developers.

Are you running version 4 the OpenUI? The module's elements can be called into the store using OpenTokens, so you'll want to register the module with the OpenUI then grab the token.

If it's version 5, you should contact Bill. I'm not sure of the steps for that one.

What version of Miva Merchant are you using?
In mm5 I used Weiland's Mini-basket module and a bit of extra code to calculate shipping on the basket screen, but I haven't tried to do it in mm4.

It works perfectly on the basket screen. Go to http://www.pinemporium.com/mm5/merchant.mvc Go to the product list screen. Put a movie poster in the basket. View the basket screen. At the very bottom left I have stuck the mini-basket for a demonstration re: your question. Click shipping link in the mini-basket. Fill in your state, zip and country and submit that. Now view the mini-basket which will contain many shipping methods.

If you need 3rd party module support, this forum is not the place best to get it. As you can see, messages could go unnoticed for a couple days when posting to forums. You should always contact the developer through their support system so the issue gets tracked and resolved. Go to http://www.emporiumplus.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc and click the button for Contact Us in the left column. Provide the requested info and submit. Every time I log into my admin (several times a day), it shows me if there are any pending support requests.
