View Full Version : Miva Synchro Performance Problem

Miva Community,

Any word on this possible error:

We have been having an issue with the Miva Syncro program for a while. It takes a couple of hours to download a few orders. The program just sits there, and there is hardly any Internet activity.
We contacted Miva, and they don't seem to think the problem is with the Syncro software.

He has packed his data files and removed all old orders not needed in the system anymore. :(

Any ideas.

Hi Eric,

How many order records are there in QuickBooks? Before it adds a new roder record to QuickBooks from MIVA Merchant, it first has to search and make sure it does not already exist. Also, search may be affected by PC processing speeds and any other applications running at the same time.

One more thing...if this is their first synch between their store and QuickBooks, it will take longer because it has to make all the initial associations.

Customers QB File was 230MB in size they are going to try to archive and condense and followup. So it appears speed is directly related to QB file size :)

I have a problem with my set-up.
I have Synchro 1.63 and MM5, when first installed it worked fine. Now I can synchro items and customers just fine, but not orders...
I do not get any error messages or anything, as if synchro just does not see the orders. I do have it checked for order retrivals but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Open a support ticket with MIVA - or better, ditch that product.

Use QBIOSS instead (http://sourceforge.net/projects/qbioss).
