Add extras to a product page layout

I need to know if there is a way to add a second discription area to a product page. So that when I have the product page displayed it could pull the standard discription and then a second area would show a secondary discription that can be linked from that product.

Either create an IFRAME to call in an html or text file - or create a custom product field and add it there.

You could add the second description to the Product Header or Footer.

I have utilized my header and footer in other ways in the design But I am interested in figuring out how to add a custom product field ..... is there any information on this? How do I create it and utilize it?

When you assign the custom product fields to the Product Display, make sure you are in "Point + Click Mode".

The custom product fields have a 250 character limit. If you need more than that, check out Weiland's Flexible Product Description which will allow you to "separate out" portions of your product description and display them wherever you would like to on the page.
