Temporarly Removing Buy Buttons

What we'd like to do is temporarly remove the
'Add one to basket' and 'Buy one now' buttons.
Can that be done?

If you have inventory tracking on, set the inventory level for the product at 0.

This will remove the buttons. As long as you do not have 'hide products when out of stock' checked, the product will still appear, just no buttons. You may want to remove the out of stock message for the product too.

Vic - I must have done something wrong because I tried what
you said and the buttons were still there once I updated it
and refreshed the browser to hopefully see the change - Thanks

Are you using MIVASql or MySQL for your databases?

If MIVASql, you may need to pack the databases.
