Hello-
I am looking for some feedback on what users are doing to handle USPS orders... meaning are you using a program or manually doing it at usps.com?
Specifically, I am looking for a streamlined way of getting the orders shipment address to USPS... via ODBC or something else.
Any input?

I am using Paypal payment pro. Shipping info magically gets transmitted to Paypal, then I use multi order shipping within Paypal.

We use Endicia Dazzle. They have a program called Galaxy which allows you to link to a database for shipping. We use Generic Orders Export from Viking Coders to export all the shipping information. Then FTP the file to the computer. When we need to print a label we just enter the order number and the address comes up and is zip4 verified. Then just enter the weight and class. If you have a scale that can connect to a computer you can add that into Galaxy.
We also have added bar coded order numbers to our in house invoices. This way the person at shipping only has to scan the bar code. No more mistyped order numbers or addresses.
We use a Zebra Thermal Label Printer that we got from UPS to print the labels.

If you have 10 or more orders a day, I recommend Stone Edge order manager. It integrates beautifully with Miva and then with Endicia Dazzle.
Stone Edge has helped us streamline our order fulfillment A lot
