Anybody want to put their site on there that is using Google Checkout with MIVA Merchant? I'd like to show some examples to clients.

I also added a link on the Basket Contents page for other payment options. I did not want customers to think Google Checkout was the only option available.
Thank you.

Google checkout for Miva 4 is running here, so far it's been fine, but I have no custom shipping modifications that might cause problems:

I can't help but notice that most of the "examples stores" no-longer use Google Checkout. Could anyone post reasons for this? A change in philosophy, too hard to implement, doesn't work as advertised?

It fails to charge for shipping if the customer has not created/signed in to an account in your store before checkout thru google

Ah. Thanks. That sort of runs entirely counter to the point of the Google Checkout, doesn't it? I have to admit I am dubious about the whole scheme, for reasons mostly of no-longer wanting to trust Google with my financial information. But I can see this is likely to be a major thing in the future.

I personally don't like how it takes over checkout. You can't change the look and feel, it becomes a Google store.
- You can't use Gills GOL Analytics Tracking for the e-commerce values as Google doesn't deliver the customer back to your stores invoice page.
- You have to have duplicate any coupon offers in both Google Checkouts back end and Weilands Miva Merchants coupon module.
- Generate a Google Checkout invoice, and when customer pays it generates a new $0.00 order in Miva Merchant
- Can't pass sales values to affiliate programs like Performics, Share-a-Sale and Commision Junction
- You have to have duplicate any coupon offers in both Google Checkouts back end and Weilands Miva Merchants coupon module.
You don't have to create the coupons twice. The google checkout interfaces with the MIVA Merchant coupons if using the coupon redemption module.

We are not seeing this problem at http://www.leotardcrazy.com.
We implemented 3 solutions at about the same time.
-Google Checkout
-Hacker Safe
-Buy Safe
Since this time we have seen a 67% increase in gross sales. The one thing I am sure of is that Buy Safe has nothing to do with it.

I am a 'hack' more than a programmer - it was easy to implement...
