Hi,

I installed the google checkout and it is working fine. I also have the coupon reduction from Emporium plus but i can't seem to see a box where to redeem. I counldn't find any docs on how to integrate the module with google checkout.

Does anyone have some documentation?

Thanks

Aurelie

You'll need to contact Emporioum for support on this -- since this is module specific. However, WCW announced a little while ago that he has an update to handle Google checkout coupons. Again, though, you'll need to check with Emporioum on the specifics and versions, etc.

You'll need to review the google checkout module documentation on how to extend that module to use other 3rd party modules, eg coupon type modules. Those steps are part of the google checkout module setup.

I just bought the emporium plus coupon redemption module for merchant 5

Installed and configured according to the instructions

Created a coupon

So then...how to integrate with google checkout. The answer above is pretty cryptic!

Here is how:

go to payment configuration
select google checkout
select extensions
add extension
module code is couponrd
click update
run a test transaction to google checkout
sign in, and on the review and place order screen
click the link to enter a coupon, promotion code or gift certificate right below the shipping drop down box
enter your coupon code
click apply
VOILA!

How is that cryptic at all?

Seems very to the point and step by step to me.

Have you contacted the developer directly for support of his modules?

I think the google checkout module developer wants you to go through MIVA support for support issues. The documentation that comes with google checkout module should list the steps above for assigning extensions (other modules to interface with google checkout). The issue is configuring the google checkout module, not the 3rd party modules to use with it. They don't need configuration.

which documentation?
extend how
what stepsThe problem is finding the right do***ents. The Miva do***ents don't tell you. The google checkout integration do***ents don't help. The docs link in the payment configuration / google checkout configuration give the most help. But could certainly be more helpful.
A couple of lines of instructions from emporium plus would have made it simple.

I had to guess after searching the forum here and the various do***ents for the information.

Since only a couple of modules currently function with google checkout...the obvious thing would be to include the details. Absent that wcw could have just detailed it above.

I don't have the google documents to detail it. I've never been able to get the google checkout module to work, let alone extend it. All I have is what I was told by its author, configure the google module extensions. There is no configuration of the coupon module to use it for google checkout. It is automatic once you configure the google module's extension. How that is done should be detailed in the google module instructions since it is applicable to all modules which will extend the google checkout.

There is a phone number on MIVA's website, support@miva.com and their HelpDesk/LiveChat system.

I also agree, the documentation for the Google Module are poor and lack depth as well as troubleshooting steps.

what miva support?

Basically, since I got it to work I "shared" the steps here.

The only thing remaining is to see if my customers can complete an order with google using my coupon.

Thank you for detailing the steps here. You saved me hours of searching.

Problem: I got the coupon link to appear in the google secure checkout page, but when I try to use a "once per customer" coupon, the error message from Google is that the coupon has already been used. It may have been used by other people, but not by me. Is this a bug or limitation?

thanks,

Create a new customer test account with all different info, including name and email address. Don't make any of the data elements the same so it is a completely different customer from any other. Then try it.

I would suggest you to talk to MIVA Support once, they can direct you with the steps.
