Hi all, total Miva newbie here with a quick question:

Is it possible to get the standard Miva modules to allow for external linking? We're developing a store front that already has an externally hosted site and would like to be able to link directly to it, but whenever we enter www.hostedsite.com (http://www.hostedsite.com) as the link, Miva automatically throws on a big ol tag pointing to something like http://www.mivasite.web.aplus.net/mm5/www.hostedsite.com

which naturally does not point where we want it to go.

Any help would be most appreciated.

You will need those long URLs unless you invest in a third party module to shorten them - which would be wise for SEO as well.

Take a look at your edit product or edit category screens in admin. In the upper left corner there is an icon for Links. Click it, and a new window will open with many different links for the product or category.

Similarly, there is a link button in the upper right corner if you click on your storename, which will show you links for several of the major screens in your store.
