How can I:
make a section of my site available to customers paying a fee, can access
a section of my website using a template page that customers can add text and pictures to, kinda like a cross between myspace and ebay. were you can have a place to advertise your owne item to sell through your own page that others can access. also allowing communication via echat, messaging like I am doing here...

MIVA Merchant was not designed for this purpose. It is a shopping cart.

You would need to find an application to handle this. Probably something in PHP. Search Google for a forum or web board software.
