WolfPaw Computers is proud to release their first publicly available module for 4.x compiled stores.
WPReNum (http://tinyurl.com/y7aurd).
While WolfPaw Computers has been a MIVA Development Partner (in addition to a Hosting Partner) for a few years now, most of the modules we have created have been custom solutions for clients.
We began development on this module 2 years ago when there were no order number resetting modules available for compiled Merchant. As priorities changed, it took a further and further back seat to many other projects.
Finally, after kicking off the dust and putting the finishing touches on it, we have finally released our first module to the public.
We have several others in the works for both 4.x and 5.x, so stay tuned!
WPReNum (http://tinyurl.com/y7aurd) is a very simple system utility that allows you to change your next order number.
While simple, it is also quite rich in features that make it superior to other modules that provide the same functionality.
Noteworthy extra features:
Sanity check -
Prevents changing the order number unless the store is in maintenance mode.
Deletes baskets -
All shopping baskets are deleted prior to making the order number change to prevent existing shoppers having an order number assigned that is lower than the new starting number set.
Backs up affected database -
The storekeys.dbf module is backed up prior to the module making any changes in case you need to revert back.
Packs Domain Databases -
Automatically packs all domain databases to ensure indexes are synchronized correctly after order number change.
WPReNum is available through MIVACentral a special release price of only $14.95 (http://tinyurl.com/y7aurd). (Reg. price will be $24.95 after Jan 1, 2007).
