I just did the last update put out by MIVA through the admin panel. This is my forth attempt. Problem is once I do the update then the site no longer works. Problem occurs at the payment option page. When the customer clicks Continue to move to the next screen to enter credit card info nothing happens. Each time I do the update I have to have the site restored. My host has done the update with the same results and MIVA has as well. I can't believe that MIVA cannot figure this out. I'm very frusturated becasue I cannot take advantage of the update.
Has anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions. It just seems like maybe that button is not working? Any ideas?
Thanks
Lisa

What MIVA Engine version are you running?
What payment module are you using?

It appears that it is just the button that is not working. When you click the button, the hand appears but it does not do anything. Maybe I can delete it and set it up again???? If so, how would I do that. I didn't set up the site so not sure how to add buttons.

Thanks for coming to my rescue again. I'm running 5.04 and I know there are issues with this engine but I have asked my host upgrade me to 5.06 and I don't seem to be getting anywere. Do you think this is the issue??

Basically, my Continue button does not work. Should be an easy fix for this?

That's hard to say. I was thinking it might have been an issue with the payment module being the wrong version for the engine version.
Which update are you applying that causes the problem?

I was trying to do the last update put out my MIVA. When I log into the admin panel it was telling me that there was an update. I'm really stuck now because my site cannot accept orders because the Continue button will not work and the customer cannot proceed. Any suggestions? I am only using Paypal notification and Simple Valaidation for Credit cards. I have disabled both of them and it makes no difference. Is there someway I can create a new Continue button??????

Something interesting. I thought I had tried to disable both payment modules to test but I had only disabled Paypal. Now I am trying to disable "Credit Card with Simple Validation" and it is telling me that that module is in use by one or more orders. Seems like this is where the problem is??????

If those are test orders, just delete the orders and you'll be able to disable that payment module.

Or better yet, dont remove the payment module. Go under Modules, find the payment module and deactivate it.
