Products with Multiple Colors

Hello everyone, I'm looking for help on setting up my first Miva store. I need to know the best way to organize my store. The store is selling hats. Each hat comes in multiple colors. I have a few ideas of how to structure this:

A) One product per hat type ie "Sombrero" with multiple colors as Attributes ie "Red" and "Blue".
B) One product Category per hat type, ie "Sombrero" as a category with "Sombrero Red", and "Sombrero Blue" as seperate products inside the "Sombrero" category.

Any ideas? What is the best way for handeling product attributes like color? What is the best way to display these on the product page? Optimally I would like to show the default option and then allow the user to change the image on the product page when they choose from a radio box or drop down list.

The most logical way is to use unique products as products, and treat colors as attributes. If you carry more than just hats, create a category for HATS, and then SOMBRERO can be one of the hat types assigned to that category. Once you click on SOMBRERO, you can then present individual colors (attributes) and even customize the page to display various colors as they are selected, or display all available colors simultaneously next to each attribute select option.
