Question about Attributes

I've been using attribute templates for so long, I think I've forgotten how to use them. I sell stationery. Each item can be purchased in any quantity. I need to be able to add an attribute that is a flat price for the whole order, not per piece.

Specifically, if the customer would like us to send their envelopes early, right now I have to charge 25 cents per piece, and I would like to charge $8 for the entire order.

Is there a way to do that with attributes, or do I need to set up a product that is priced at $8 and place a link to add it to cart on the order page?

Any thoughts would be great.

How about something simpler.... Since you want this to be added once per entire order (not per product or per individual item), create a "rush delivery" upsell product with $8 pricetag and make it available during checkout. This way only one would be added to the entire order and you won't need to change any individual products or attributes in your store. Problem solved. No modules required.
