Shopping Option Module needed

Hi
I have forever been searching for a module that allows the customer to purchase multiples of sizes. I've done workarounds, trying to create an attribute that is the multiple - I was able to do that in one instance but its really ugly.
A successful version I've seen has input boxes each named the appropriate 'sizeNumber', for the customer to enter.
Can anyone direct me to something like this or a place where it can be developed? If's it's out there, it can't be that impossible.
