View Full Version : Question on Gateway service
We are going to be adding some new products to our site that arent allowed by authoriznet. They are adult in nature/toys etc.
Anyways, we found one that has no issues with miniscule situations such as this, and I was wondering if anyone here has any good news or bad news about them.
Cardservice/LinkPoint Payment Gateway
Thanks In advance

Avoid them like the plague.
Poor support and even worse uptime.
Look into ITransact.

You have to obtain the payment module from them, it is available as a download.

Has anyone heard of this one? 2Checkout.com (http://www.2checkout.com/)
Will it work with M4? Details on it
Vic that one you suggested sounds great, yet has a setup fee that is pretty steep. Looking at other options also before the plunge.
Again the reason why we are switching is that the one we use now isnt to keen on certain images of the human body..... What a star will cover up, they dont like...

In your industry, you dont have many options.
If you cater to 'adults', you have very few choices.

Vic, I looked into Itransact, and they look good.
I contacted them about what cart we use,M4 and told them that i heard there was a module to make it work.
This was the reply I just got back
We do not currently have a module that works with Miva, but there has been a modified miva cart built that works with our system. Please send an email to support@premieripp.com to inquire about the modified cart.
Sounds like a scary situation.....
Any ideas Vic on how i should take that reply, ..i was hoping it was just a mere plugin...but a modified cart... Sounds insane.
Any suggestions...
Thanks

That sounds fishy to me.
I know a fact they at least HAD a MIVA 4.24 and 4.13 compatible module. We used them on 2 customer's stores.

Hmmm. My brother talked to a representive the other day also with same reply. Sounded odd also, as you said it would work. Then i wrote them on it, and that was the reply also.
I was hopeing to get on this after this weeks festivities as they lowered the signup fee for us.. Yet this seems scary, at least from what they have told us thus far.
Anyways, i know not much can be done now, but after turkey day perhaps we can figure this out.
Have a great Turkey day Vic, be safe, and thank you for the help my friend.
Vic, some good news..... Today I got the plugin for this.... It came from Itransact themeselves. Just instal it and it becomes part of the Payment Module section.
This came to be, As i wrote them back stating that you have seen this plugin before and it was not some type of hack to the cart...
It came in a pack, just like a purchased module would....
Next week we switch over.
Again thanks Vic

We dumped Linkpoint in favor of Verisign.
Kelly at extremerestraints.com is bound to have a recommendation for a gateway.

Thanks,
Itransact that Vic reccomended is cool with the products we sell also. So next week we will switch to them. Its sad, im going to miss authoriznet, they really are a damn good company. If it wasnt for there hangups, such as a nipple slightly showing thru some clothing we wouldnt even have thought to move.
