View Full Version : Free shipping option for pick up at retail store

Hello,:)

We have a physical store location and also ship via UPS. Right now we offer our customers only UPS shipping option. Many of our local customers would like to order online and then pick up at our physical location. How can I add this option when checking out in the drop down menu of shipping options? For example, UPS ground $xx.xx, UPS Air $xx.xx, Pick Up $0.00.

Enable Flat Rate Shipping Table from your shipping configuration, set the price as $0.

We do this for what we call "will call" shipping. How difficult would it be to have a check box above the shipping address for "will call at store location" that would pre-fill our address into the fields? Among other things, this would set the sales tax correctly.

Would the shipping supermod be able to then limit the shipping options and only show (or pre-select) the will call option if this is checked for the shipping address, and not list it if it is not? Or, could there be a conditional?

You shouldnt need to fill out your address for the ship to info.

If the customer is in-state, and you are using state based sales tax, the store should still calculate tax correctly.

And yes, you can use the Shipping SuperMod to restrict the area down to the zip codes you wish to allow access to the will call method.
