I have a client that wants to use QuickBooks Web Services to process transactions. They (Quickbooks) offers a merchant account for customers. Does Miva 4 plug into this somehow or do I need to have them buy a payment gateway like Authorize.net that would hook into the QuickBooks Web Services?
I searched for a QuickBooks Web Services payment connect module, but no luck.
Anyone ever done this before?
Thanks,
Kevin

There is no module for this but a free module to import orders into QB (QBIOSS). Just google it.

Kevin,
Did you get an answer to your question? I have the same need. I want to use my quickbooks merchant account and merchant services (gateway) to process payment. How does this happen?

No answer yet - it turns out my client now wants to enter the CC# through the QuickBooks "Credit Card Processing Kit".
I haven't looked into it any further since he's going a different rout.
He won't be getting a ton of orders each day, so I'm just setting up the Miva Uthorize and Capture setting in the payment area.
I guess Quickbooks offers a service to process credit cards through the program by connnecting to a Quickbooks server.

In that case, you can use Credit Card with Simple Validation.
However this will prevent you from collecting CVV information, which may lead to higher processing fees.

I confirmed with my ISP that Quickbooks merchant payment services will not easily (or all all) integrate with miva. They recommend other options with existing miva modules.

Both Merchant 4 and Merchant 5 come with the Innovative Gateway module; most of the regular QB accounts are through IMS since Intuit bought them a few years ago. I don't know what Web Services uses.

I'm going to tweak this thread again, and ask if anyone has accomplished using MIVA Merchant with QuickBooks webservices for payment.
Thanks.
