I have the viking template bundle and OpeunUI Standard. Would it be advantageous for me to upgrade to OpenUI advanced or not?

Thanks for your help in advance

It really depends on what you want to do. If it's just layout/design changes, then you don't need Advanced.

Thanks for the info Pamela, what are the major differences of the 2? IE: what can advanced do that standard can't?

OpenUI Advanced won't make a difference in how the modules you have work. The "Advanced" version adds OpenFields, OpenLanguages, OpenMaintenance and OpenTurbo - features you may or may not need or want. And to be quite honest, only OpenMaintenance has any "usable" value for most stores - it allows you to pack your store database files one at a time, or only selected databases, which can help if you are having trouble packing databases within the default store timeout, or if you want to see which database is having problems if it gets corrupted. OpenFields may be helpful if you want to customize your store more with custom product fields (let's say you are selling books and want to add the "author" and "ISBN" fields to all your products).

If all you want is OpenMaintenance, you can buy just that for about $39.95... which is a lot less than buying OpenUI Advanced for just this one feature. I'd say OUI Advanced is a good deal only if you really need all the features it comes with. Otherwise - OUI Standard or Basic (for uncompiled and compiled stores respectively) is all you need.

Thanks Remik for the info. I think I will stay with what I have then.
