I am adding clearanced items to our website. I have uploaded new products with codes cler-1, cler-2...cler-100. I did this to get some of my basic information created quickly for all products. Then when I have something to add I go to these and I change the information such as code, name, price, description, etc. This used to work perfectly fine. If I accidentally put in a code that was already in use it would tell me and I could change it. Now for some reason it just randomly decides to replace a product in my store with the information I am updating. It seems to choose a product with a similar code to replace, but not always the same code. It is really frustrating be cause I have no idea what product it is replacing. There is really no rhyme or reason.

Example. I just updated a product with new code: CLER-SAE-M

Miva decided to replace product with code: CLER-SAE-SM

New: CLER-AEF-S
Replaced: CLER-AF-M

New: CLER-AEF-S2
Replaced: None, it actually worked fine.

Have you packed your store lately? The database indexes do get confused sometimes.

I am packing now. All tables were packed on the 18th of this month.

Edit...
Finished packing and I was able to add 3 with no problems. Hopefully it is fixed. Its an annoying little occurance. Seeing as how I have to now look through over 200 individual pieces of inventory to find the item that was replaced so I can re-enter it in the clearance section.
