OpenUI Admin in an infinite loop

When we login under an Admin account, the OpenUI interface displayed in the left panel is stuck in an infinitel loop. We get the following messages:


Building OpenAdmin Tree
and counting Shoppers...


Performing Maintenance...
Checking Database IDs
and AdminSessions...

Also, when we add a new Admin account, it gives us the same messages on the left side panel. We have tried the following from another thread and it did not work for us:

Go into your admin and under Domain Settings, click on OpenUI Setup.

Uncheck the 2 boxes for Enable JavaScript Left-Nav Tree and Save/Restore Last Left-Nav Tree State.

Logout of admin, then log back in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried a different browser to make sure it's not a javascript issue?

Yes, we thought about that and tried Firefox to no avail. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks again David. Your response caused us to reconsider the javascript issue one more time.

First, we packed our data. Second, we rebooted our web server. Third, we unchecked the OpenUI setup option:

Enable Javascript Left-Nav Tree

Logged out and logged back in and bingo, it worked. We will need to uncheck this option when add a new user because it is checked by default.
