Client is frustrated with the Track Product Inventory/Adjust Stock By in the Flat File Import. She says she has to start with a physical count of all her products (naturally), then she has to go look at what each and every product product has for a Current Level, then she can make her adjustments from there.
She would rather just reset the Current Level than have to calculate the Adjust Stock By
So is there a better way to do this? I think what she needs is a "real-time" inventory tracking system. Any suggestions will need to also be available for MM5 as she is also wanting to upgrade her store but needs something right now.
Thanks!

QuickBooks has a nice system, even with a scanner and bar codes. And the integration of QB with Miva isn't that hard using the free utility QBioSS.

A trick - though not ideal, is to have her do a quick import of all products with tracking set to NO (turning it off will zero out the current inventory), then import with tracking set to YES and the current count.

QBioSS can handle setting the inventory levels? I've had one client trying to work with QBioSS - I "think" she finally got it working.

Not Miva's inventory but in QB's.

Ahhhh - the client wants to know what the inventory levels are in MM and then be able to do a blank update based on her actual quanities on hand.

What about Vikingcoders Inventory module? It has a import function and should do exeactly what your client needs.

There's also Stone Edge's Order Manager that can keep track of inventory and it can be u/l to Merchant to update the Miva levels.

Just a minor price difference of $900 ;) but definitely a allround solution.
