Prevent Back Ordered Stock Being Added To Cart

Does anyone here (using Inventory Manager), know how to prevent back ordered product from adding to the shopping cart, while giving the customer a specific notification that the product they are trying to order is out of stock due to back order, as opposed to just being out of stock?

Have you contacted Viking Coders for support on their module?

You should always contact a module vendor using their established support channels first, for third party module support.

Hey, you copied your response here from another thread pertaining to IM. :rolleyes:

Unfortunately, Viking Coders does not have a telephone number that they can be reached at, so it's strictly by email, or in the forum here. However, my problem is a configuring problem which as I understand they do not offer support for. They're documentation leaves much to be desired, so options for getting answers are limited.

They do not offer support via the forums. They offer support through their helpdesk.

I have not used the v5 version of that module, but in previous versions there is a box to check as to whether or not to display the buy buttons when a products stock level is zero.
