customer login/password rules

does anyone know the rules for creating logins and passwords?
character length? caps? numbers?

When I looked, I couldn't find any limitations to characters that could be used. I was able to find the following special characters in passwords:
@ * $ + " ' ,

If you are planning on writing a "create an account" screen, I suggest you create a character list more strick than Miva's.
