Anyone wiling to share their experence using Authorize.net?
I'm helping a friend decide on a payment gateway and Authorize.net
is currently our first choice. We are using Miva 5 as our shopping cart.
What is your experence with integration and day to day operations?
Many thanks,
David

A good number of our customers use AuthNet.

It is seemless to intergrate into Merchant as Merchant comes pre-packaged with an AuthorizeNet Payment module that takes all of 3 minutes to setup.

Day to day operation is very easy and AuthNet's reporting from within their Merchant Web Access tool is fantastic.

AdN took a little while for me to get used to because I was having to learn it, Stone Edge's Order Manager, Dreamweaver, & Miva 4 all at the same time, but I now find it fairly easy to work with.

The integration is quite seamless as they said, and I can't think of any problems we've had it off the top of my head since we've been using it a year and a half now. Getting to a few functions on the web site seems to be out of the way to me, but I've never claimed to be normal to begin with, but I can do refunds, reports, etc. from the site and do just fine.

I have been using Authorize.net for almost three years and haven't had any problems. I had an issue with logging in a few weeks ago (my error) and was very happy with their live customer service to resolve it.

How does Authorize.net compare to Payflow Pro? Are there restrictions to the types of Merchant Accounts you can use for them and are there recommended Merchant accounts for these gateways?

Authorize.net is great and well established. With Order Manager you can process from Order Manager Captured cards. You can also export to a file from Shipworks and import it into Auth.net to do the same thing. It's well supported with Miva and would be the best way to go IMO. I have used them for 4 years now.

Payflow Pro is very similar but generally more expensive by twice as much monthly and has a limit on 1000 transactions per month before adding a 10 cent per trans. fee
