Product Downloads

I have been researching product downloads using MM5 and now have learned that this cannot be done neither through the standard cart nor through an add-on module.

Does anyone know what it might cost to have a module like this created for a store and know a developer that may be willing to take on this type of project?

Hold on to your horses... this feature is coming to MM5 "soon"... MIVA is currently testing it in their own SmallBusiness store for selling MIVA Merchant and other software licenses (not to be confused with mivacentral). We've used it already when purchasing new licenses and got the downloads, licenses, etc, all issued in real time, which is exactly what "soft-goods" module should be doing. I don't know the ETA on public availability of this module, but considering they have it already live in their own store, I'm guessing it's... sooner, rather than later...
