MM5 converting html codes to the actual characters?

In the page templates, if you try to put in > it turns into >

Is this the correct behavior since technically you should use > in your html if you want the greater than symbol?

I viewed source using Firefox on areas where I had programmed in > and in the source it still says > and if I look in the admin textareas it doesn't get parsed to > either, it stays >

Where exactly is this ocuring so I can test for you.

Hmm, in the customer's store where I was using this it was in the navigation bar box under store properties. Putting an > is changed to > upon submittal.

did you try > ? (but more than likely if that worked, next time you submitted it'd bug out again...)
