View Full Version : Weird attribute issue when logged in

At this site, when a product has attributes where one of the attributes has a charge, and if the customer is logged in, it shows the attribute charge for every attribute.

For example, a $0 product with one attribute that is $30, and another that doesn't have a price. If logged in, in the basket it shows as $60. It works fine when not logged in. You gotta see it. Go to this link and add to cart. In the basket, it looks right.

http://www.mistralsoap.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=testtest

Now, click Checkout and use Login name testtest and password testtest. In the next screen, look at the charges. Duplicate - doubled. Freaky, huh? If you click the Checkout button in the header, you'll go to the basket, where you'll see the duplicate charge there, too. If you were not logged in, it wouldn't display that way.

Any idea what kind of freak thing would cause this? I'm baffled!

I brought this up with Cadgas and Alex of the MIVA Development team at the conference.

We are still waiting to hear what they've discovered. We can reproduce this on a couple client stores.

It only seems to happen when logged in and there are more than one attribute for a product.

Holy cow. Is it the version of MM? My client's site is MM: v4.22 / MVM: v4.140

I have several sites that use attributes with only 1 having a charge, and this doesn't happen. Can you think of anything that might be at the core of this that I can change?

Thanks!

The client we have this happening to is on MM4.24, OUI 4.956, Empresa 5.03.

So I dont beleive it is version specific or related to the Empresa version.

It appears to be related to the built in MIVA customer logged in functions. I'm waiting for Mark, Alex, or Cadgas to respond to this issue in more depth.
