I can't figure out why the merchant e-mail notifications for one of my miva merchant stores no longer translates the tokens found in the subject line. It has worked fine forever, and just recently started not working.

On my e-mail merchant notification config, I have the following for the subject:

%OUI%Confirmation: Online Order #%ORDERNUM% Placed for %order_total%

As I mentioned, it use to work just fine, replacing the token's with the current order's information. However, now when the merchant e-mail is being sent now, what you see above is what appears in the subject line. For some reason the 2 tokens are no longer being resolved.

Can anyone shed light on why this would start happening? I am running Miva Merchant 4.23 and OUI 4.956. 4.956

Thanks,

Did you make any changes to the subject line?

Make sure you have no carriage returns in the subject. OUI doesn't like that.

What version of Empressa? Could that cause a problem Vic?

Doubtful, they are running v4.1400 of Empresa. That was a stable version.

I haven't edited the subject line - perhaps my evil twin did :) I will try deleted and re-entering the subject just in case some special characters got in there. My customer does have one new user that I've allowed in to update the product catalog but I can't imagine that she would have even gone into the notification section - she still completely terrified of messing something up and has specific instructions on what to edit. You never know though.

Tokens are working inside the merchant e-mail notification - that is what is weird. The first line of the message has the same %order_total% token that the subject has and it works fine.

All is well now. Thanks Vic, I took your advice and purged my subject line completely and retyped. It is working now. I had replaced the tokens, but there must have been an embedded character. Thanks again!
