I'm new to MIVAbut I made it through okay except when I attempt to process through the checkout and put in a credit card number and all I get the message Unable to authorize payment: This account has not been given the permission(s) required for this request. I checked the FAQ's but nothing came up. Anyone with any ideas where I messed up? I appreciate any direction. Wes

What payment gateway do you have configured in your store? It sounds like your account with the gateway provider is not set up correctly.

Thanks. I use Authorize.net. I can use their virtual terminal at their site and can process with no problem. I verified the settings in the Payment Config module and it looks right.

I found that same error message in some oscommerce forums so it's definitely something that is coming back from authorize.net; it sounds like it's related to the account username or password not being correct or not having the right permissions on the authorize.net side.

i just started using miva 3 days ago, and today, just when i thought i was doen...i fell back into the brink with the same message!
good thing i'm out of bullets! (i'd use them on the computer! :)

For anyone else that runs across this error, check the Login ID in the module inside Payment Settings(v5.5)/Payment Configuration(v4.X). I just had a merchant getting this error and he had used a bad Login ID. Once he used the correct one it worked just fine.
