HELP! navigation bars disappeared!!

Please help!

In making a catagory inactive my navigation bars have disappeard! Both left and top.

I hope this is something easy to fix (but I don't see it).

What did you do just prior to them disappearing?

* returned Store front welcome to a standard message we've been using (we had an event message prior to that). Copying back the old message didn't help. I'm suspicious of how I deleted the message prior to update though -- I was moving fast and wonder if i inadvertently did something at that screen.
* Made the Event catagory "Inactive". Making it active again didn't help.
* Made 2 event products in the "Specials" catagory inactive. Making them active again didn't help.

Did you check your global header?

Looks like you completely removed it...

How do I go about restoring it? I have back-up files, but don't know which files I should restore.
