I use CSS formatting at a site that I am converting into MIVA. What's the best way to get the reference to the CSS file (<link stylesheet>) into the pages? Should I just put it into the Global Header?
Is there another mechanism designed to insert global HTML-ish references of this sort or another preferred workaround? Generally I would prefer to put these into the <head> section - is there an easy mod to a .mv file or some included file to do this ?
Thanks,

The easiest way to integrate is getting OpenUI (http://www.openui.org) (replacement of MMUI - store interface). This extends your left hand menu when using OpenUI instead MMUI and you'll find a new section where you can place the path and name to your css file. BTW You will have access to many more options then just the CSS file.
FYI Some good host (Hostasaurus (http://www.hostasaurus.com) and Wolfpaw) offer OpenUI at discounted price when you host with them. What you should do anyway to become a happy Merchant store owner.

Actually Andreas,
We offer OpenUI Basic free to any new customer running v4.x stores.
The customer can opt to upgrade to OpenUI Advanced or OpenUI All at a discount off retail pricing.
Remember to put the stylesheets in the Merchant2 folder or the secure lock in IE won't show up.

That alone is not entirely correct.
As long as the correct secure pathing is given, the CSS file can reside in any publicly accessible directory on the server.
