Insert Formatted Price in Attribute?

Is it possible to insert a formatted price into the options for a drop-down list within a product's attributes?

I've got a Drop-down List for "Choose Size" then two sizes available. Here's what I've tried in the prompt with no luck:

Small - $ &mvt:product:formatted_price;

We've got a wholesale price group and I'd like to have the drop-down prices correctly displayed given their discount.

Any ideas?

Only way I know of to do it dynamically is to use the Product Template Manager w/ Attribute Templates.
