Hi everyone:

I have a few different websites. One I am still using Merchant 4 and my new ones are using Merchant 5.

In Merchant 4, I can set the Title Tags for the Categories and Individual Product Pages, but I don't see this feature for Merchant 5.

Does anyone know how I can have Title Tags and Description Meta Tags for each category and product page instead of it just showing the Domain Name -- Internet Explorer?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
GG

Check out the MetaTag module from store.latu.net. It works for the categories and products... or for products you could create adtl custom fields to hold the data.

how does that module compare with the one I've listed below - Are there advantages of using one over the other?

Metatags helper by latu (http://www.jmhonline.net/miva-modules/metatags+helper) has less worthless meta tag options than meta master by ads (http://www.jmhonline.net/miva-modules/meta+master). They both do custom titles if need be. Latu's mod also lets you specify how much of the product description and category header to use for the meta tags.

Sorry this should be in another thread - but thanks for the help!

ok perfect - I have also seen many references to being able to do some of the link manipulating by hand without modules - I cannot find specific instructions on this. I did find a tutorial but it calls for either one of two cattree modules be installed and we have neither - can you possibly point me in the right direction for instructions on what I can change by hand, and maybe skip the cattree for now? My cattree is from Miva Small Business...
Thanks so much!! Your help is greatly appreciated!

You're welcome. Ultimate SEO Links from sebenza (http://www.jmhonline.net/usl5) is the best option for link manipulation, and it comes with instructions. But you do need a category tree module (http://www.sebenza.com/products/SS-CATTREE5.html?a_aid=jmh). No way to get around it.
