Does anyone know if anyone actually is alive and handling customer refunds at MivaCentral?
1. You can find all sorts of information about refunds
2. You cannot find a place to request a refund
3. You send an email 'mivacentral@miva.com' and get no response
Why do I feel like I have to always call Miva out on this sort of thing in a public forum to get anyone to respond?

I went through the same situation, but eventually got a response. You can request a refund at:

I did that, as usual they don't like to process refunds immediately. It can take weeks if you don't send them emails and call them out. Can you say ModStop.

You're not alone. I have clients who are simply being ignored. Maybe everyone's so busy with the San Diego celebration and hype-fest promoting how great their customer service is, that they don't have time to actually serve the customer.
It took me over a year to get a refund. Finally, Keith took care of it for me!

Keith don't work there no mo...
I've been around, Wendy, just don't like the forum format so I am not here as often as the old list...
Oh, maybe Keith took care of it for me before he left....but it has been in the last 3 months or so...I don't remember. I haven't been paying much attention ... too much other stuff on my mind.
This is the first time I've been back to the forum since July.
Not too many Miva questions anymore, thanks to every one here! :D

Jon,
I will look into the hold up for you.

Are you kidding me? The secure certificate is expired when you checkout at MivaCentral. GROSS INCOMPETENCE. I also have an e-mail out for several days with no response. Maybe the people at the conference can pass a can around to collect money for a secure cert renewal?

Chris,
Not trying to defend MIVA here, but - where exactly are you seeing an expired SSL cert on MivaCentral? I just had a look at it and according to their GeoTrust Premium SSL cert details, it's good until 10/12/2006. As long as the URL stays the same during checkout, I don't think it should be coming up with an expired SSL cert messages - at least not for another 2+ weeks.
Maybe they renewed it shortly after, not sure. But I definitely got a warning and the date on the cert clearly showed it had expired. Hey, everybody makes mistakes, but it isn't that hard to keep a cert renewed.
