Why would a MM4 site suddenly not have the base href generated by Miva? I have a new client who is putting the base href herself into the global header. The Domain Settings are set up properly, just the Miva generated base href isn't working. Any ideas?

Never mind. It was an OpenUI SuperMod VMod deliberately taking out the base href. Bizarre.

FYI: You will run into problems by having someone try to enter the base ref either manually, or in the global header...the base ref tag should be in the <head></head> area.
