Hi,

I have a client who wants to suppress all pricing display for one product in his store. This product is the only one assigned to its category and also to its availability group. His goal is that the user never sees the price, not even during checkout, but that when the order comes through to him the price is displayed (buyers of this product generally pay via p.o., but could pay with credit card if they chose).

We have OpenUI (though I'm no expert on tokens!), and we are also using the Category & Product Line Display modules from Santa Fe Mall.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Crazy question, but why would you hide the price if the client has the option of paying for it, especially with a credit card? That info must be there, somewhere, visible, and passed to the payment gateway, so that the customer knows what they are charged for on their card. Especially if they want to print the final invoice for their own records or to submit as an expense... no accounting department will take an "invoice" with no dolalr figure on it...

What's the purpose for hiding the price? Haven't heard of a similar one before so I'm a bit puzzled why one would want to do that, while retaining the ability to charge one's credit card for an "unknown" amount...

I evidently misunderstood my customer...their users only pay for this product via invoice. They have decided to handle the invoice calculations manually, and just display a $0 price for the product. So I guess I don't need any more help from the group, thanks anyway!

I would also like to hide the price on certain products. Our company sells through distributors for most of our products. We sell replacement parts and accessories direct. So we want to still use Miva5 to show our product offerings to the customer and hide the price on products we do not sell direct. I was going to just put a price of $0.00, but that is absolutely corny. I really need to hide the price and the add to cart button to have it look professional.
