Subcategory tokens?

How do I add the subcategory list to a category landing page (ie. customer clicks on X category and is directed to X category page, and at the top of it is a list of all the subcategories associated with X category)? Are there subcategory tokens?

The easiest method is to use the Category Page Templates module, which will also give you quite a bit of other control over the pages, and will allow you to set different layouts for different categories.

You can do that with either subcategory navigation (http://www.jmhonline.net/miva-modules/subcategory+navigation) from netblazon which is designed to do just this or category page templates (http://www.jmhonline.net/mivamerchantmodules/Category_Screen_Modules") which will do this and tons more.
