Guys,

This is a followup post.

We ship some products via UPs and some products by Motor Freight. Our site can not calculate Motor Freight Charges.

I would like to assign each product a shipping method: either Motor Freight or UPS but not both methods. I would also like to group products by manufacturer.

Example: Customer chooses two items. Company A's product 1 ships via UPS. Company B's product 2 ships via Motor Freight.

I would like the site to calculate the UPS charges on product 1.

I would like for the site to post information to let the customer know that product 2 ships via Motor Freight and we will e-mail you the shipping charges once they are manually calculated.

My Questions:

1. Do I need one or both of these modules?
Shipping SuperMod? by COPERNICUS
CheckOut SuperMod? by COPERNICUS

2. How do I configure them?

Thanks For Your Assistance,
Greg S. Maranto

Yes, you would need both CBS' Shipping SuperMod (http://tinyurl.com/nsprm) and CBS' CheckOut SuperMod (http://tinyurl.com/rs46s) to accomplish this.

With the CBS' Shipping SuperMod (http://tinyurl.com/nsprm), you have the ability to restrict a given shipping method on a product by product basis.

Couple that with CBS' CheckOut SuperMod (http://tinyurl.com/rs46s), which allows you to split the line items and assign different shipping methods per item, and you have your solution.

Configuration of both modules can be a bit tricky, but play around with the settings and configuration and especially read the docs that come with the modules - and you should have your shipping configured fairly easily.

If you find you still need outside help, we have quite a bit of experience configuring these modules for complex shipping scenarios.
