Price Groups - % markup from cost

i've setup price groups, but they don't seem to be working right. i have an item that is $9.96 cost. i want one price group to get it for $59.66 (a 5.99% mark up from cost), but when i'm signed in as a member of that price group, the item shows up as $10.56. no other groups are enabled for me as a customer. what am i doing wrong? using 4.24, with OUI, no modules.

Math error....the markup of 9.96 to 59.66 is 599%...not 5.99%...

that makes more sense, but when i do that (well, 598.75%), i get $69.60 instead of the $59.64 i'm looking for.

59.64/9.96=5.98795...
that's how i'm calculating the markup amount.

what am i missing?

EDIT: figured it out. the difference between the 2 numbers IS my cost, $9.96. gotta use 498.75% instead.

my calculator shows 9.96 * 5.98795 = 59.639982 ....so it sounds like new batteries or more coffee is in order<G>.

right, mine does, too. :) but miva, apparently, marks it up then adds the cost? i don't know, but i used the 498.75%, and it worked through the store.

As designed...the question its asking is "What is the Markup" not "What is the Price" so, (Eventual Price - Cost) / Cost = Markup.

Note to Miva: plenty of room in that screen...might want to add some examples...<G>
