Is there a way to have customers Checkout without making them go to the Customer Account Login page? I would rather not have my customers create accounts so when they click Checkout I want them to go directly to the Shipping Page (OINF).
Thanks.

Under Store -> Shopping Interface Settings
You can uncheck the box for Display Login before Checkout.

Vic,
So sorry but I totally can find "Shopping Interface Settings" under my store main page. Can you give me some more direction on where to look. Sorry to bother you.

Sorry about that, I thought this was posted in the MM5 section.
For 4.x Stores, it will be under Store -> Storename -> Customer Accounts.

I actually have a related problem. Our site is (newly) set up to allow customers to create accounts, but they are *not* prompted to create an account when they check out. Ideally, when they check out and fill in the shipping/billing informatoin, I'd like them to have the option of (a) checking out without an account, or (b) automatically creating an account with the provided information and then continuing to check out. Is there any way to do this - some module to purchase, perhaps?
Also, with respect to the above advice, I feel like an idiot, but I don't think I have a "shopping interface settings" link. We have Miva 4.22, and when I go to the storename, there is no "customer accounts" option. There is a "customer fields" option, but that just lets me say which fields are required during checkout. I'm probably missing something obvious, but any guidance would be appreciated.

I don't know enough to help you with your first issue but for the second I did find the Customer Accounts link, but even though I turned off "Display Login Before Order Form" the login screen still comes up when I check out.
Also to find the Customer Accounts link, go to Stores in the bottom half of the left hand navigation in the admin. There is another Store link at the top which is the wrong one. When you click on Stores (below Wizards), the nav expands and your store name will appear. Click on your store name and you'll see alot more links in the main screen. Customer Accounts is in the last column on the right.

Ha, well, you helped me find the "customer accounts" link (thanks!). However, I have the opposite problem from you now. My box *is* checked, but there is no "create account" or "login" prompt that occurs when a customer decides to check out. I note, however, that in the "customer accounts" area, there are a couple of fields that I currently have blank. These are:
Customer Login Link:
Customer Account Link:
Both have text boxes after them, and the "Customer Account Link" also has a drop-down menu. I'm not sure what, if anything, is supposed to be in there areas. Maybe that is my problem?

Ok I made some headway. I did try to make the field blank that you listed below and that did not work either. But I think the issue was that I had the wrong Checkout token generating the link. I was using %url_checkout% which was generating a link that went to the Login Page - in the URL it had "screen=LOGN". But i just found the Checkout token to bypass the Login screen which is %orderwithouturl% which is now working. The checkout url when it skips the Login page has "screen=OINF" in it.
I think you should fill in the field in the Customer Account page, check the Display Login Before Order Form and then use this token which is for customers creating a new account %newaccounturl%. The only thing is I'm not sure if that's for customers checking out or just customers who want to create a new account. Can't hurt to try it.
