timezones in Miva

I noticed that when people purchase products from us, the date-time (via open orders) is displayed as EDT in military time. I would like to change this to PST/PDT time. So I went into the extra settings tab and changed the timezone to -3 but our orders still seem to be on EDT time. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work correctly?

I'm guessing you are referring to the OpenUI timezone settings... This has been discussed quite a bit in the past, and most people reported that this feature hasn't worked too reliably for them. What you may want to do is use a module that displays the invoice screen and emails customers their order confirmations, a module where you can edit the time displayed and subtract 3 hours from the server time to show your preferred PST/PDT timezone. Check truXoft's Invoice Trio - I'm pretty sure Ivo confirmed that you can do such math on the fly in his modules.

Are you using the OpenUI notification modules? Are you referring to the time YOU see in the Admin (the OpenUI settings will have no control over either). Otherwise, see post that Remik made.
