I've got 3 attribute prices for a magazine subscription choices - one year, 2 years, 3 years using Open Attrubutes. Right now, with nothing checked, a customer can click 'Add to basket' and it will add a subscription, but no price if they have not chosen one of the attributes.
I tried making the one year 'required' but if they want a 2 year, it forces them to also choose the one year subscription...
What am i missing here?

Also... I did th eoriginal attributes before we got Open. Now under 'Other Countries' subscritpion choice (in admin), if I go to make changes the attributes no longer appear under Open... How can I make changes?
Thanks!!

You need to use a radio or select type attribute instead of check boxes.

not sure about the second problem...this should not be caused by OpenUI...try packing the store...you probably have a problem with your Attribute database tables.

You should be able to make the attribute as a whole what is required, but not set a default option; then the person just has to pick one of the options before they can proceed.

On your second question, can you explain more? I'm not sure how the countries settings in Merchant would relate to attributes.

OK - So 'splain this'........ I can create attributes thru the product directly. So what are the Attribute templates for? I set a couple up and can't seem to assign them to products.........
Sorry, been a while since I've had to work with this........

Once you have created an attribute template, it should be available as one of your attribute types in the drop down box while adding an attribute to a product. So if you have a template named Color, you should now have Radio Button, Checkbox, Text Box, Drop-Down List, Color as your options for creating a new attribute on a product.

Thanks David - That helped a lot. I was getting a little flustered after spending all that time creating the templates.. didn't notice there was a dropdown to use so just started recreating it straight in the product....
Thank god it's time to barbeque something........... :)
You guys are awesome - thanks a bunch!
