Paypal delay

It is my understanding that Paypal takes about 3 to 4 business days to process a payment via a checking account. I need to hold paypal orders until funds are received. Is there a way to see the payment methods when exporting orders to a flat file. I need to somehow know what orders are through pay pal and what are not.

I don't know if any of the paypal modules report the paypal method back, however, you should get a confirmation email from PayPal indicating both the method and status. For example, when a payment via checking account occurs, you will get a notice at the time of sale, AND when the payment actually clears.

the thing is I have to export orders daily into a flat file that we can run through our fullment system for shipping purposes. So I need to knlw when I export orders which orders used paypal so i can hold those until I verify funds
