View Full Version : Payflow Link not working?

Anyone seeing issues with Payflow Link? Verisign made some changes last Saturday that caused the normal https://payments.verisign.com/payflowlink to not work for some merchants; if you had the problem, you would receive an error about "4024 Please contact customer service". We only know of two people this happened to. Verisign's fix was to switch the URL to https://payflowlink.paypal.com which worked for one but the other receives "invalid merchant or merchant doesn't exist" instead. We're waiting on Verisign to figure out what is going on but thought I'd see if anyone has seen this.

We had a meeting with Verisign recently and they indicated they were in the middle of moving all servers from their previous datacenter to a new, "PayPal approved" location (PayPal being the new owner of Verisign Payment Services). I haven't seen the errors you posted, but my guess is this may have to do with their server moves and DNS issues pointing to the wrong servers, or the new servers not having all account info fully replicated. If you have a local DNS cache - clear that and see if that helps, otherwise see if these domains resolve to the same IPs from both affected servers. If they do... Verisign may have to step in and see why the account hasn't been moved over to the new location. I've seen that once before with Payflow Pro, so my guess is it's a similar issue.

Quick update:

I just spoke with Verisign and they are aware of the Payflow Link issues. There's also another problem with Payflow Link emails not being sent out, which they are also working on... No ETA on resolution yet, but they are working on both problems.
