Hi,

I'm using Viking Coders Storefront Template & Category Templates. The storefront template allows you to keep "lists" of products you want to display. I'd like to use this list feature, but would like to call the list into the right column of the Category Pages or perhaps using Display Wizard Pro.

Anyone know if this is possible?

My goal is to have a right hand column of products that I want to display on each cat page, and the products I want to be specific to their category. I tried using the Top Sellers, but it doesn't give me control over which products are displayed.

Currently, I've set up a right column and using tokens call in the products I want displayed -- however, it's storewide -- and to do it this way I would have to hand code each category that I want a special right column for. I have 2400 categories -- doubtful I would want to display a different list on each, but I would like the ability to display certain products in the right hand column of my most popular categories and I don't want to rely on the database to pick the products for me.

The list would be perfect, I could create a list for the categories I want to customize, create their own cat page template and I'm done. But I don't know how to call in that Storefront List feature into the category pages.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

I don't think you are going to be able to call StoreFront Template features into another module....however, you should be able to use OpenUI Tokens to right a simple (ok, not real simple but...) feature into the right column that does the following:

Take the current category code
Find first product in: g.category_code_sidebar
IF found,
display product
find next
loop until done.

Then, you create "_sidebar" category's (your lists) for each category....(you can hide the display of all of these side bar category listings by creating a top level sidebar category and making it inactive.

Thanks Bruce :)

I'm already doing something similar, but was hoping for a more elegant solution. I appreciate your feedback!
