Showing recently added products on the store front page.

I am hoping someone can help me figure this out.

On my Store front page I want to list the last three products added.

Any ideas to get me headed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Manually code links to them in a table you create in your SFNT page.

That would be the easiest way. You'd need a module if you wanted that to be dynamically populated, and I'm not sure one exists for MM5 yet that will do that.

While it's not as automatic as you might like, you might look at the Product Flags module at http://www.mivacentral.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=m&Product_Code=STL-PRODFLAGS&Category_Code=STL
You would have to manually mark the items as new and manually unmark the former items. I have customers using this to mark a bunch of new items and let the software randomly display from that list of marked items.

I'd like to see something that unmarks an item as new after XX days.

Here's another, non-completely automatic solution...use Template Page Display (http://www.mivacentral.com/page/m/PROD/GILL/GILL-GOLPD) to show a category page on the storefront...in that category page assign the last products in your product list.

What about using RSS. Your regular customers could even place the feed on their common page, eg on My Yahoo.
